Security Procedures
ID badges/ Security passes
- At Sunset Bay we use ID badges to reduce the possibility of intruders to the work area.
- Staff are allocated ID badges on commencement.
- If an ID badge is lost, administration needs to be informed immediately.
- The badges have photos for ease of recognition of staff.
- Each ID badge has an access code, either a bar code or magnetized strip, that security doors will recognise.
- After hours access, or access to certain areas, may be restricted and access is only possible with the correct ID badge or security codes.
Parking
- Parking for staff is regulated by use of stickers that must be placed on the car window, top right hand corner.
- Staff need to ensure that they do not leave valuables in view in their cars, and that they lock their vehicles.
- Park your car in a well-lit area if you are to be on duty after dark will also increase security.
Personal Safety
- At Sunset Bay, we pride ourselves on our strict security measures.
- Assistance may be called for from security either in the workplace during working hours or to escort staff to their cars if they feel unsafe.
- Staff should try to leave in groups after dark to increase security.
Camera Surveillance
- Sunset Bay uses cameras to increase security. These are in the workplace, corridors, and lifts and on the outside of the buildings, and car parks.
Money and Valuables
- Staff are advised not to bring large sums of money or valuables to work.
- At Sunset Bay staff are allocated a locker, which should be kept locked at all times, to provide secure storage for personal belongings.
