Choosing the right PPE
The personal protective equipment you need to wear in your workplace will depend on the job you are doing.
Whatever the situation, a general rule is to take responsibility for your job.
Make sure that you understand your obligations. Think about what the effects could be of not following correct procedures.
Remember, a safe environment is a healthy environment!
Now try this activity. Leonard, Jasmin, Boris and Amin all work at Sunset Bay Health Campus in different jobs. Each has been asked to do something that requires the use of PPE. Select each person to find out what they have to do, then help them to select the right gear for the job. Select the pictures of the items that you think they will need - a tick will come up next to each list item you’ve selected, and you can then check your answers.
